Jessamine Eden is a conservation farm nestled in the foothills of the Grand Etang Rainforest in Grenada. The terroir of which this farm is borne, produces a unique ecosystem in which diverse plant species thrive year-round. Eden, being home to over 100 species of medicinal plants, over 22 types of palm trees, a large variety of flowers, cocoa, banana, natural springs and a pristine river, is the ideal place for our bees which have consistently produced World award winning honey (UK National Honey Show, Best Honey in the World).

Our products are bee formulated, produced from Caribbean medicinal plants and wildflowers.

The Accidental
Beekeeper

Dr Valma Jessamy is an award-winning research scientist, Owner and Master Beekeeper at Jessamine Eden Wellness Farms in Grenada. She became a beekeeper by accident when a May swarm of bees came to rest on a “honey tree” growing on the farm.

For the past 12 years she has been practicing honeybee zoopharmacognosy which resulted in the development of a proprietary planting scheme of medicinal plants at Eden. She has won many international awards for consistently producing high quality honey from her propriety natural beekeeping techniques.

Dr Jessamy has been involved in intensive research on the ethnobotany, phytochemistry and pharmacology of the medicinal plants that her bees feed on and now developed into herbal PhytoMed Honey® nutraceutical by 17th/21st Century Cures Ltd.
